Humanity has Awakened.
Government no longer exists.
But now a new threat is wreaking havoc upon the remaining communities on the southeast coast of Australia, with a series of mysterious attacks ravaging their lives. No victims have been found alive. All have been discovered with their auras inexplicably torn away from their bodies.
Five chaotic years after the catastrophic global Revolution, survivors are figuring out a new way of living in this unrecognisable world. Small tribes have formed, and the power and wellbeing of each localised community is determined by the strength of bonds between its people as they remember their connection to the Source energy of the universe.
Sierra, a talented twenty-six year old musician, lives a uniquely independent life within the Thirroul territory. The kind of energetic connections that most depend upon for survival threatens her very existence. Sierra’s aura absorbs the energy of anyone she grows close to, becoming overloaded and dangerous—both to herself, and those around her.
When she is saved from a brutal assault moments before death, Sierra is forced to connect with the Woonona tribe—and their powerful leader, Jace—to unravel the truth behind the attacks. She must learn to control her connection to energy and use the dark curse of her aura to help save her newfound tribe, but she risks losing herself to the energetic realm, bringing down those she’s learning to love in the process.
